So that I understand quickly

Tell me: your iPhone model, the iOS version, the Riff version (Settings › General, at the bottom) and what you did just before. A screenshot helps.

Frequently asked questions

The AI summary does not show up. It needs an iPhone 15 Pro or later with Apple Intelligence turned on in iOS Settings. Without it, everything else in Riff works.

Listening does not start. Riff reads articles with an enhanced or premium voice of the iPhone. Install one in Settings › Accessibility › Read & Speak › Voice, then come back to Riff. This feature is experimental.

An article does not show in full. Some publishers keep their articles for subscribers: Riff then shows only the excerpt of the feed, with a link to the publisher. It does not bypass any subscription.

A source no longer brings articles. It may have changed its address or closed its feed. Remove it and add it again with the address of the site (Settings › Categories).

Getting my settings on another iPhone. When iCloud sync is on (Settings › General › iCloud), your sources, categories, Playlists, settings, reading history and Watchlist follow your iCloud account.

Exporting my sources. Settings › General › Backup. The OPML file holds the sources you added yourself and opens in other RSS readers.

Erasing my data. Settings › General: “Delete iCloud data” erases what Riff stored in your iCloud, “Reset everything” erases the data on this iPhone. Deleting the app also erases the local data.

How does the trial work? The first 20 cards are on us. To go on, you start a 14-day free trial yourself in the app: nothing is charged during the trial. At its end, the plan you chose (monthly or yearly, prices shown in the app and on the App Store) is charged by Apple, unless you cancelled at least 24 hours before. Without an active subscription, once those 20 cards are read, the app is locked, but your data stays on your iPhone and you can still export or erase it from the subscription screen (“My data”).

Managing or cancelling my subscription. Apple manages it: iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or from Riff’s subscription screen. To avoid the first charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial; access then lasts until the trial ends. After that, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Getting my subscription back on another iPhone. In Riff, tap Restore on the subscription screen, signed in with the same Apple Account.

A refund. Payments are handled by Apple: ask for it at reportaproblem.apple.com. Riff does not receive your payment details and cannot refund by itself.
